This week we will be closing First Street to replace a gate valve. With the depth of the gate valve, we will need multiple days to perform the work. We will also be working at the intersection of First Street and West Avenue on Tuesday, but with no closure involved with this work. We will be working in various locations on Thursday and Friday and may interrupt traffic flows in some intersections while we are pumping concrete into the old water systems, but we will not have long term closures on these two days.
The schedule is as follows:
- Monday-Wednesday – First Street closed between Ridge Avenue and Main Street. The closure will begin at 8:00am Monday and reopen at 12:00pm on Wednesday.
- Thursday-Friday - Work will be performed in various locations on West Ave, Vance St and Oak Ave with minimal disruption. Some intersections may be closed while the pump truck is pumping concrete, but this will be short term
